Lander County, Nevada
Lander County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nevada. At the 2010 census, the population was 5,775, a decrease since the 2000 census, when it was 5,794. Its county seat is Battle Mountain.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 5,519 square miles (14,294.1 km2), of which 5,494 square miles (14,229.4 km2) is land and 26 square miles (67.3 km2) (0.47%) is water.
With Interstate 80 and Highway 50 crossing the county, Lander is centrally located with easy access to the major population centers of Salt Lake City to the east and Reno-Tahoe to the west.
